Friends of the Packard Library of Yuba County
in Marysville, California
Here both members and visitors will find information about our organization, our semi-annual book sales and other events, membership and other opportunities to support the library's many worthwhile programs and services.
There's also some background on the library itself, which serves the more than 70,000 residents of historic Yuba County. The main branch, at 303 Second Street in Marysville, includes The California Room, a unique and extensive collection of books and documents about our state's history. John Q. Packard donated the building for the original Packard Library, and the current Yuba County Library building continues to bear his name.

- We're clearing our book storage and putting all of the contents on sale in the Community Room at the Yuba County Library May 16, 17 and 18! Hardcovers are only a dollar, paperbacks 50, 25 and 10 cents.
Hours of the sale each day: 11 am - 5 pm
- Bake Sale: on Saturday, May 18, we'll also be selling cookies, cakes and other treats right in the book sale area. We're raising money for the Library's 2013 Summer Reading Program, whose theme this year is "Reading is Delicious!" (We couldn't agree more!)
- And at the same time, we'll have the Bookshop Annex open with our ultra-bargain books, During the Super Spring Sale, you just stack up your selections from the Annex and pay only 50 cents an INCH.
- The Annex entrance is located on Third Street between C and D Streets in Marysville. It looks uncommonly like a....garage. And, indeed, it once was the Library's garage. We're just steps from all the shops, eateries and events on D Street.
Other Upcoming Annex Sale Dates:
Saturday, April 27, noon to 3 pm (enjoy the cars, bands and BBQ, then go home with some good books)
Sunday, June 2, 10 am to 1 pm (our books are not antiques, but they are used!)
Friday, June 14, 5 to 7 pm (get your greens at the Friday market, then stop by the Annex to find a cookbook for them)
