Support the Friends and the Library

Are you already a patron of the Yuba County Library?  Then we invite you to help us maintain and expand the resources and services you enjoy.  If you'd like to become a member of the Friends of the Yuba County Library, click here.  If not (well, why not?), you can still make a contribution in other ways. We've listed a few ideas below.

Get one of our S.H.A.R.E.S. cards, and use it every time you shop at SaveMart, FoodMax or Lucky market. It doesn't cost you a thing, but the generous grocers will donate 3% of your purchase to the Friends of the Library!

Buy one of our sturdy canvas book bags. They're also great to carry groceries and other tote-ables.They are available at the Library front desk for only $12.

Buy a copy of The Local Nine, Michael Jang's history of professional baseball in Marysville, California. Mr. Jang has donated copies of his book; all sales proceeds go to the Friends of the Library for its programs in support of the Library. There are only a few copies are left, at $25 each.  Ask at the front desk.

Come to one of our semi-annual book sales. Donate your own books to the Friends to sell.  Help set up or staff the sale. Check our Events Calendar for upcoming dates.

Attend one of our paid events during the year, such as our Women's History Tea and the Antiques Appraisal Afternoon.  All proceeds support the Library, and you'll have a good time, too.

Check the Programs and Events section for upcoming dates.

Volunteer your time.  We need help to staff our events, sort books for the sales, hand out flyers and contribute your own ideas for new programs to support the Library.

Donate money, now by writing a check for any amount to The Friends of the Yuba County Library, or as part of your planned giving, so that a strong library will become part of your legacy. Your financial advisor can suggest ways to do this.
